Playground Project
May 30, 2014

On Friday 5/30/2014 Project Life held a Playground Project to re-due our existing children's play area. We had several volunteers help out with this project. Martin Pucino from MJP Painting & Contracting, Jim Ferguson from Habitat for Humanity, Ivan Epps from Eppserve Technologies, Rev David Mason the Treasurer of NIEH Project Life, James Williams Project Life Maintenance, and Joseph Todaro Project Life Facility & Finance Manager. We had several goals that we wished to attain. The first was to add additional swings by removing the existing beam & installing a 20 foot beam. Second was installing a sand box with lid under the swing set structure. Third was flattening the area by the slide so it is level with the patio. We raised the fence, made retaining wall, installed a drainage pipe, rocks, dirt, and sod. Finally, we stained the entire structure. The children absolutely love the final product. Just yesterday the Project Life Child Care children were playing and having a fabulous time. Thank you again to all of the volunteers & we are happy that the children will enjoy their play area for many years to come.
